DIY Chevron Canvas

                       

You will need:

8"x10" canvas (from the dollar store)

pencil

ruler

tape

acrylic paint + paint brushes

• Mark up the canvas with a ruler depending on how thick/long you want the stripes to be (the most tedious step)
• 
  

• Fill up every other stripe by taping them with masking tape
• 
  

• Flip it over and put some books on top to keep the tape in place so the paint doesn’t leak through 
• 
  

• I wanted a red/white/grey pattern so i painted the top/bottom with red, the middle with grey, and the taped parts would be white. I painted 2-3 coats every 4-5 hours and let it dry overnight before removing the tape
• 
  

• Clearly i didn’t tape the top stripe down properly it needed some touching up with white paint
• 
  

• All done!
